Application Eligibility:
1. Nationality Requirements:
1.1 Non-Chinese citizens holding an ordinary foreign passport.
1.2 In compliance with the document *Jiao Wai Han [2020] No. 12* issued by the Ministry of Education.
1.2.1 Residents of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan who have immigrated abroad and apply as international students must have acquired foreign nationality before April 30, 2022, and must have a record of actual residence abroad for more than two years between April 30, 2022 and April 30, 2026 (actual residence abroad for nine months or more in a year may be counted as one year, based on entry and exit stamps).
1.2.2 For applicants who acquired foreign nationality at birth abroad and whose parent(s) were Chinese citizens at the time of birth: the applicant's parent(s) (the Chinese citizen side) must have obtained permanent residency abroad before the applicant's birth; and the applicant must have a record of actual residence abroad for more than two years between April 30, 2022 and April 30, 2026 (actual residence abroad for nine months or more in a year may be counted as one year, based on entry and exit stamps).
Note: If an applicant is determined by the Exit and Entry Administration Department of the Chinese public security organs to possess Chinese nationality during the application, admission, or enrollment process, their application qualification, admission qualification, enrollment qualification, or student status will be cancelled.
2. General Requirements:
2.1 Under 25 years of age; graduated from senior high school (applicants who have not yet graduated at the time of application must provide a certificate of expected graduation; the senior high school diploma must be obtained no later than before enrollment).
2.2 In good physical and mental health (no infectious diseases or physical or mental disorders that would affect normal study); excellent in both academic performance and moral character; friendly toward China; with no criminal record.
3. Language Proficiency Requirements:
3.1 For programs taught in Chinese, applicants must provide a score report of the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK). Applicants whose compulsory courses during secondary education (junior and senior high school) were taught in Chinese may provide proof of Chinese-medium instruction during junior and senior high school in lieu of the HSK score report.
3.2 For programs taught in English, applicants must provide TOEFL or IELTS score reports or other English proficiency certificates (native English speakers are exempt).
4. CSCA (Chinese Government Scholarships Admission Test) Score Requirements:
In accordance with requirements from the superior authorities, starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, all international students applying for undergraduate programs must provide a valid CSCA score report. The China Scholarship Council (CSC) will organize the first test on December 21, 2025, with registration opening in November. Specific dates and arrangements will be announced through the official website (www.csca.cn). Starting from 2026, testing services will be provided on a regular basis, five times per year, in January, March, April, June, and December.
Please refer to the program catalog for the corresponding test subjects and paper languages for each major.
Application Materials:
Applicants must log in to the application system, fill in the application information clearly as required, and upload the following materials in full:
1. Bio-data page of an ordinary passport. The passport must be valid until March 1, 2027 or later; if it does not meet the time limit requirement, please renew it in advance. Passport information cannot be changed before enrollment and registration.
2. Senior high school graduation certificate. Graduating students must submit a certificate of expected graduation issued by their school.
3. Transcripts of all courses completed during senior high school. Graduating students must submit transcripts up to the current stage. It is recommended to provide the applicant's relative ranking or percentile in senior high school.
4. Standardized test scores such as SAT / IB / GCE A-LEVEL / ACT / STPM / UEC / AST, or university entrance examination scores from the applicant's home country (if available).
5. Language proficiency test scores. HSK score report, or proof of Chinese-medium instruction during junior and senior high school, or TOEFL, IELTS, or other English proficiency certificates.
6. CSCA (Chinese Government Scholarships Admission Test) score report.
7. Personal statement. Approximately 800 words, which must include personal academic experience, reasons for application, and personal strengths, etc.
8. Two letters of recommendation. In principle, written by senior high school teachers, bearing the recommender's signature and contact telephone number and email.
9. Award certificates for subject competitions during senior high school (if any).
10. For applicants who were formerly Chinese citizens and later acquired foreign nationality after immigration, provide: (1) Certificate of renunciation of Chinese nationality; (2) Certificate of cancellation of Chinese household registration; (3) Proof of acquisition of foreign nationality; (4) Entry and exit records between April 30, 2022 and April 30, 2026; (5) Self-Statement on Nationality Status and Nationality Confirmation and Guarantee Letter.
11. For applicants who acquired foreign nationality at birth abroad and whose parent(s) were Chinese citizens at the time of birth, provide: (1) Proof that the applicant acquired foreign nationality at birth; (2) Proof that the applicant's parent(s) (the Chinese citizen side) held permanent residency abroad before the applicant's birth; (3) Entry and exit records between April 30, 2022 and April 30, 2026; (4) Self-Statement on Nationality Status and Nationality Confirmation and Guarantee Letter.
12. For applicants who will be under 18 years of age as of September 1, 2026, a guardian guarantee letter must be submitted; the guardian must be an adult residing in mainland China.
13. *Zhejiang University International Student Enrollment Application Commitment Letter*. The PDF version of the commitment letter must be clearly and completely filled out by the applicant in their own handwriting and signed.
Notes:
1. All application materials mentioned above must be in Chinese or English; texts in other languages must be accompanied by a notarized translation.
2. Please ensure that all required materials have been uploaded as requested. Once confirmed and submitted, supplementary materials will in principle no longer be accepted. The university reserves the right to require applicants to submit additional supporting documents.

1.3 For applicants who acquired foreign nationality at birth abroad and whose parent(s) were Chinese citizens at the time of birth: the applicant's parent(s) (the Chinese citizen side) must have obtained permanent residency abroad before the applicant's birth.

2.3 Language proficiency must meet the *Zhejiang University International Graduate Program Language Proficiency Requirements*.

Please note that this document is to be provided by the applicant; the applicant must proactively contact the supervisor to fill it out. It is mandatory for some programs; please refer to the program catalog for details.
8. Published academic papers or academic achievements (if any).
